ANNETTA MARION is a Primetime Emmy Award-winning, Hollywood Creative Alliance ASTRA Award-winning, Oscar short-listed, Peabody Award and BAFTA-nominated filmmaker, showrunner, and director. She has worked with some of the biggest stars on major shows for Netflix, Amazon, ESPN, OWN, MTV, VH1, Apple+, and Investigation Discovery, including the acclaimed Oprah’s Master Class.
Annetta produced and second-unit directed Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. The film won a HOPE Filmmaker Award at SXSW, five Critics Choice Awards, and four Primetime Emmys, scoring both BAFTA and Peabody nominations.
She currently serves as an alternate on the National Board of the Directors Guild of America and on the Eastern Directors Council. Annetta is a sought-after speaker and panelist at Film Festivals, Organizations, Non-profits, and Guilds.
Fun Fact: Annetta loves going to Vipassana silent meditation retreats, especially at the Shelburne, MA center, which was the first one founded in North America.
Amongst other projects, she is currently developing a new series Park Slope Moms about a high-powered attorney who becomes a stay-at-home mom, and a one-hour drama series Twice Royal, about the real-life Princess Nest of Wales, who was famous for her beauty and impact on powerful men.
Annetta also has a taste for adventure; she has raced sailboats, jumped out of airplanes, learned to scuba dive, bungee cord jumped, surfed around the world, and performed improv in a group called Dropping Like Flies.
